3 Skypephone S2 Out on Monday 18th

The 2nd generation of 3's Skypephone, the S2, is due out next Monday the 18th august 2008. Whether this will also mean it is released online remains to be seen, but we can hope!



It looks like 3 have listened to customers feedback on the original 3 Skypephone and produced a better skypephone in every area. I think it looks pretty neat too, very tidy.



The SkypephoneS2 has a 3.2mp camera which should be much better than 2mp original. 3.2MP should be enough megapixels for all camera phones really, but it all depends on the sharpness and flash power. The K800i was a good camera phone with 3.2mp.



The S2 will also be HSDPA for tubo 3G internet, and will feature excellent applications like one for facebook which keeps you logged in.



This handset should be priced at around £60 PAYG but will be free with a monthly contract.



With the credit crunch looming over expensive mobile phone bills, this could be the cheapest handset on the market if you use skype enough. You get unlimited VOIP calls to anywhere in the world, which is great if you have friends and relatives dotted around the globe.
